School Board hears report on Twin City, honors Shining Star

The Stanwood-Camano School Board heard a report about Twin City Elementary and honored a Shining Star during its regular meeting Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Twin City Elementary principal Jennifer Allen updated the board on the school’s annual action plan, goals, and results from monitoring their progress.

Afterward, she honored Cameron McGill with the Shining Star Award!

Also at the meeting, the Board heard reports from district staff about Secondary Early Withdrawal and the January finances.

Additionally, the school board approved a resolution directing the superintendent to prepare a reduced educational program for 2023-24 and a proposed 2023-24 operating budget that reduces expenditures to the level of reasonably anticipated revenues and/or the fund balance is at least maintained in accordance with School Board policy.
